The American Job Centers provide workforce services for job seekers with disabilities. We welcome all community members and are committed to providing the highest quality services possible. Our staff wants to provide you with accommodations, assistance, support, and resources that will help you to be successful. In accordance with the section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, The Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity Act of the Workforce Investment Act, we are legally required to provide reasonable accommodations to our customers who have a disability.
We understand that disabled individuals who have never been in the workforce or those who have been removed from it for an extended period of time require special assistance. The types of services provided are based on the needs of the individual and are designed to help the individual to become employable. Vocational rehabilitation staff will assess needs in order to determine an appropriate employment objective and provide appropriate services. Certain services depend upon the individual meeting economic need guidelines, while other services may be provided without regard to economic need.
