LWDA-11 Board Chairman speaks to local employers

Craig S. ButlerWIOA  Board Chairman, Craig Butler, recently spoke to the local West Tennessee Society for Human Resources Management group in Jackson. The purpose of the meeting was to inform employers that resources are available for them to use, and that LWDA-11 is ready to help with their needs. An emphasis was also placed on defining exactly what WIOA does, and answering questions about some common misconceptions about WIOA.

The West Tennessee Society for Human Resource Management is a not for profit association with over 65 Human Resource professionals from a variety of businesses and organizations in the West Tennessee area.  They have been recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management as a Merit Award Chapter for excellence in operations and service to members. They are committed to promoting and advancing the professionalism of those involved in HR management, and addressing current human resources issues to promote proactive HR management. They  also  encourage cooperation among members for the exchange of ideas, discussion of problems, and dissemination of information. Finally, they promote and educate membership through seminars, and professional certification.
