Governor Bill Haslam and the Tennessee Department of Workforce and Labor Development have announced a grant award to a Jackson manufacturing plant. ARJ Manufacturing, LLC located on Ridgecrest Road (Jackson) will receive a $25,000 grant for employee training. In a news release, the governor said the training grant not only helps educate workers, but also provides incentives to employers looking to relocate or expand in Tennessee.
State leaders said since the program’s inception, incumbent worker training grants have assisted more than 600 businesses by providing $14 million to train approximately 50,000 employees. The Southwest Human Resource Agency also played a key role in awarding the grant to the company. ARJ makes automotive seats and car interior components. (Courtesy of WBBJ-TV).
